Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Napuki app and website. By creating an account or using Napuki, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Children may use Napuki only through a parent's account and under parental supervision.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• Napuki is a paid subscription service with a 7-day free trial for new accounts.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their payment terms. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subscriptions renew automatically.
• You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Refunds are handled by the respective store under their policies.
• Story generation is subject to a fair-use monthly cap, shown in the app. Current pricing and limits are displayed at purchase.

Voice cloning

The voice narration feature creates a synthetic model of your own voice. You may only record and clone your own voice, or the voice of another adult who has given you their explicit permission — never a child's voice. You retain ownership of your voice recordings; we use them solely to provide the narration feature, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your voice model at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Napuki to generate harmful, abusive, or unlawful content, or attempt to bypass its safety filters.
• Record or clone a child's voice, or any adult's voice without their explicit permission.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the service.
• Share account access with anyone other than members of your household.

Content and intellectual property

The Napuki app, brand, and technology are our property. Stories, illustrations, and audio generated for your family are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within your household. Because story content is AI-generated, similar stories may be generated for other families, and we cannot guarantee uniqueness.

AI-generated content

Stories are generated by artificial intelligence with safety filters designed for young children, but AI output is not perfect. If a story ever contains something you find inappropriate, please report it from the app or email us so we can fix it.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Napuki is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies mandatorily.

Changes

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Napuki after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
